Workshop stove sweeping rods and brushes
Workshop stove flue systems often contain a fair amount of single skin flue pipe. This means that the flue pipe is colder and therefore there will be more deposits inside the flue. These deposits slowly block the inside of the flue restricting the free area that the flue gases can pass through which reduces the draw to the stove and reduces performance. The tar also increases the risk of having a chimney fire - this is something you really want to avoid, especially in a single skin flue system as the outside of the flue will get very hot.
We supply bendy nylon sweeping rods that can easily get around 45 degree bends together with nylon sweeping brushes that will not damage your flue.
To minimise deposits in your chimney make sure you burn seasoned wood, try not to slow or slumber burn, and have occassional very hot fires as this will help burn off deposits.
The nylon brush heads should be sized 25mm bigger than the flue size, so for a 125mm flue you should choose a 150mm brush head size.
